Logistics, Transportation & Storage Skills Summit

An opportunity for businesses, providers and other key stakeholders in the local skills system to come together to discuss, identify and agree actions to address key skills and recruitment challenges faced by those involved in getting products and services from A to B.

Logistics is a broad, and extremely complex industry that relies heavily on skilled workers to keep the supply chain running efficiently and effectively.

Following conversations with local employers involved in logistics, transportation and storage, it is clear that more needs to be done to:

• Attract and retain skilled staff
• Upskill the existing workforce
• Support and develop new technologies
• Drive initiatives to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion among staff.

Surrey Chambers of Commerce have come together with other partners, including Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, East Surrey College and the Connected Places Catapult, to create this upcoming Skills Summit.

The event will take place on Thursday 20th June at East Surrey College.
