Help to Grow: Management Essentials is a free, online course that explains the essential business concepts required for growth aimed at SME business owners. It is funded by UK Government and part of the Help to Grow programme.

Help to Grow: Management Essentials was created by the team of SME experts behind the 12-week Help to Grow: Management Course.

The content is divided into three modules. Each module contains bite-sized videos and resources to help you think about the ideas in the context of your business.

Private sector, not-for-profit company focused on making the UK the best place in the world to scale up a business. High level focus incorporating collaboration with policy makers, corporate partners and educational establishments. Includes links to various support programmes (E.g. Innovate UK EDGE). 

NatWest Business Accelerator 

The NatWest Accelerator supports and empowers UK entrepreneurs to scale their businesses to the next level.Supports entrepreneurs to scale their businesses to the next level. Includes one-to-one coaching, events (including thought leadership), access to networks, access to experts and use of modern co-working space 

Fredericks Foundation 

Provides financial support through revenue share agreements, tailored mentorship, and board level guidance to social enterprises, charities and B-corporations, with a strong track record in supporting female entrepreneurs and a focus on organisations that are led by or support excluded groups. Applicants must have a fundamental vision for social or environmental causes and produce a scalable impact.  

National Tooling Loan Fund – England 

Loans to help toolmakers and component manufacturers fund the design, development, and manufacture of tooling. Loans of £50,000 to £2,000,000 are available and businesses would need to show that they have had difficulities in secring funding for the manufacture of tooling.

Crowdfunder UK 

Includes provision of crowdfunding opportunities for start-up and existing businesses. There’s over £10million in +Extra funding available from a selection of national and regional partners to help support your charity or community project.

Net Zero Innovation Network 

Innovate UK Business Connect’s Net Zero Places Innovation Network aims to make Net Zero in the UK a reality. This is achieved do by supporting local/regional authorities and agencies to connect, collaborate, inform, share experiences and lessons learned, adopt innovation and to level up across the UK.

Government Business Support Helpline

Business can get advice and financial help from government-backed schemes. Includes tax, exporting and advice on writing a business plan.
