Business Decarbonisation Loan

The business decarbonisation loan is up to 50% and up to ยฃ15,000 of your decarbonisation project’s costs. You will need to match fund the rest of project’s costs.

The business decarbonisation loan is operated by Surrey County Council and available to small and medium enterprises (SME) and charities located in participating Boroughs of Woking, Guildford, Waverley, Reigate and Banstead, Spelthorne and Surrey Heath.

The first stage is for your business to have a business decarbonisation assessment.

The loan is part funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This programme follows the success of the recent Low Carbon Across The South & East (LoCASE) programme.

Surrey Fire and Rescue

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service enforces the law on matters relating to fire safety within Surrey. We also work in partnership with businesses, charities and organisations on a local and national basis to inform them about measures they can take to improve their fire safety.

Surrey Police

Surrey Police provide support to help reduce crime against businesses from shoplifting or non-paying customers to staff theft, bulgary from premises and fraud advice.

Surrey Chambers of Commerce

Surrey Chambers of Commerce is the countyโ€™s largest independent not-for-profit business support and networking membership organisation, acting as a catalyst by connecting businesses to opportunities, skills, knowledge and valuable contacts. The Chamber connects over 5,000 business people every year, provides an international trade documentation service and represents the business voice locally, nationally and internationally.

SETSquared Surrey (Incubation Programme)

SETsquared Surrey is the business incubation centre of the University of Surrey and part of the SETsquared Partnership of centres across the south of England. We support a diverse range of tech start-ups by offering membership packages with bespoke business support to suit your needs throughout your business growth journey.

Surrey Hills Enterprises

Surrey Hills Enterprises is the Community Interest Company arm of the Surrey Hills National Landscapes. It was set up in 2012 to support and develop the rural economy and tourism and to promote and enhance the Surrey Hills.

Surrey Hills Enterprises core activities are focused on โ€˜clean growthโ€™, environmental sustainability and building a strong local economy and tourism industry.ย  It has a strong membership of local businesses who receive business support including training, mentoring, collaboration and a Surrey Hills marketing platform.

There is now greater focus on developing the rural economy in a sustainable way that protects and enhances the environment. At the same time, buying local and linking to environmental impact is becoming increasingly popular and a key factor in customer choices. Many local producers also offer exciting experiences such as tastings, workshops and demonstrations.

Surrey Hills Enterprises aims to substantially increase the support it gives by building a thriving rural business community and developing Surrey Hills into one of the top nationally recognised countryside destinations and brands in the UK.

Its aims are:

  • Business Community โ€“ grow the rural economy focusing on โ€˜Clean Growthโ€™ and support and develop local producers and suppliers;
  • Local Produce – develop a market for local produce that reflects the special nature and quality of the locality;
  • Local Communities & wider public – Raise awareness of local produce, local businesses and the Surrey Hills to the wider public; and
  • Visitor & Tourism Economy – promote Surrey Hills as a visitor destination based on the quality of the environment and its local produce, artisans and services.
