Destination Cranleigh is a Business Improvement District (BID) funded by local retail and leisure businesses, who contribute through a levy based on their rateable value. This investment is exclusively allocated to projects and initiatives within the BID area, as determined by a collectively agreed-upon business plan. In addition to this, the BID offers substantial support to its members.
Our mission is to create a dynamic platform that nurtures local business growth while transforming Cranleigh into an attractive destination for residents and visitors.
The heart of our community is the bustling High Street, home to various cafes, restaurants, fashion boutiques, gift shops, hair and beauty salons, and unique local businesses. Cranleigh also boasts excellent local amenities, including an Arts Centre, Leisure Centre, Knowle Park, and the Downs Link. Dorking Town Partnership

Dorking Town Partnership, the BID (Business Improvement District), was elected into place in 2017 and underwent a successful reballot in 2022, and since then weโve been busy working on improving the management of the town centre, to boost its potential and safeguard its future.
We are a group of positive local businesses who strive to deliver impactful and innovative projects, that address your business priorities, and deliver the best value for money from the BID levy that you entrust to us.
Our wide-ranging projects include creating a new strong brand for Dorking, hosting events to promote Dorking, collaborating with local organisations to improve the look of the town centre, and installing footfall counters that help us understand how many people visit Dorking and their habits when they visit.
Visit Staines BID

Visit Staines BID is the trading name of Staines-upon-Thames Business Improvement District (BID) which is a not for profit, limited by guarantee company working on behalf of 300 businesses in the town centre.
Visit Staines BID was established in 2017 and is has now started its second term after a successful reballot in 2022 and has a mandate to deliver a set of proposals set out in our business plan over a 5-year term. We will be going to reballot in 2027.
A BID (Business Improvement District) is a designated zone (BID Area) in which businesses (BID Levy Payers) benefit from a wide range of additional services over and above those funded through the standard commercial rates and council services.
The business led and business funded organisation will raise ยฃ1.5 million to invest in Staines-upon-Thames town centre over the five year term, raised from a levy of 1.5% of the rateable value of eligible business premises.
As well as our 300 levy payers, Visit Staines BID also works with a number of businesses outside of the town centre who want to support our initiatives and get involved. These are known as voluntary levy payers. For more information about becoming a voluntary levy payer, please get in touch.

Caterham BID

Love Oxted

Love Oxted offers marketing activities to promote Oxted as a great place to eat, drink, shop and experience is run by The Oxted Business Improvement District (BID).
The OXTED BID incorporates all units in the town centre who have a rateable value and are in the defined area (the majority of Station Road East and Station Road West).
The BID is funded by businesses in the BID area who pay the equivalent of 2% of their Business Rates in the form of a levy.
The levy pays for the projects and ongoing activities as defined in the Business Plan and will be delivered over a five year period. See the Business Plan.
The current period, as voted in by a majority in 2021 will end or renew in 2026.
Farnham BID

Business improvement districts are an effective way in which businesses can take control and improve their trading environment.
BIDโs are funded and controlled directly by the businesses that pay for them. As a business, you choose which projects the BID fund is spent on.
Since 2004 when Government passed the Business Improvement Legislation, there have been over 300 successful BIDโs in the UK, which over the next 5 years will generate over ยฃ100 million in investment.

Funded and run by the businesses of the town centre, Walton-on-Thames Business Improvement District is a company dedicated to making Walton a welcoming and vibrant place for businesses, visitors and residents alike.
Working within a defined boundary area, Walton BID is a not-for-profit organisation where businesses come together in partnership to fund projects, services and initiatives to support local business and enhance the town centre for mutual commercial success.
Go Epsom

Experience Guildford BID

Experience Guildford is a Business Improvement District which is funded by retail and leisure businesses in the area that pay a set levy based upon their rateable value. This investment is ring-fenced and can only be spent within the BID area on the ideas and themes agreed and voted upon in a business plan. The BID also provides support to members.
